Understand Before You Commit

Most AI projects fail not because the technology doesn't work, but because organisations commit to a solution before properly understanding the problem. The FSAS AI Workshop exists to fix that.

We spend a day with your team — mapping your data environment, identifying your highest-value use cases, assessing your compliance position, and understanding the workflows where AI would make a genuine difference. At the end, you receive a written report and a clear recommendation. No obligation to proceed.

Choose Your Workshop Format

We run three workshop formats depending on where your organisation is in its AI journey. If you're not sure which is right, start with a conversation — we'll recommend the best fit.

Starting Point

AI Strategy Sprint

For organisations that know AI matters but haven't yet defined where to start. We map your current position, identify the highest-value use cases across the business, and build a clear prioritised roadmap before any infrastructure is specified.

Discovery

Agentic AI Discovery & Design

For organisations exploring agentic AI specifically — understanding what agentic systems can realistically do for your workflows, what the infrastructure requirements actually are, and where the boundaries of current technology sit.

Technical Deep Dive

AI Architecture & Platform Design Lab

A hands-on session for technical teams to design the right AI platform architecture — covering hardware sizing, integration points, API and MCP connectivity, and deployment planning in detail.

What the Workshop Covers

1

Data environment discovery

We map where your data lives — documents, systems, knowledge bases — and assess how accessible and well-governed it currently is. This is the foundation everything else builds on.

2

Use case identification

Working with your team, we identify the workflows that would benefit most from AI — the tasks that take too long, happen too often, or rely on institutional knowledge that lives in people's heads.

3

Compliance and risk assessment

We assess your current AI exposure — are your staff already using public AI tools with company data? — and map your regulatory position under UK GDPR and any sector-specific obligations.

4

Infrastructure assessment

We look at your existing infrastructure and assess what an on-premise AI deployment would require — hardware, network, integration points, and what is already in place.

5

Written report and recommendation

You receive a written report covering your AI readiness, the use cases with the strongest ROI, the right solution for your organisation, and the expected timeline and investment. No obligation to proceed.

Integration: What's Possible — and What Isn't

The Private GPT platform we deploy supports both API connections and MCP (Model Context Protocol), meaning you can connect your own applications into the AI platform. This matters for organisations wanting to link Private GPT into existing systems — CRMs, ERPs, document management platforms, and custom internal tools.

Important: The platform supports APIs and MCP connections, but FSAS does not build the MCP servers or API connectors. That work is done by your own development team, or using existing connectors where they already exist. If your organisation needs deeper custom development beyond this, we can discuss enterprise-tier options.

Although there are no limitations on the number of users — which is a significant advantage over token-based cloud AI tools — you are limited by your hardware. You wouldn't be able to run an effective agentic AI system with just a single GPU, for example. The workshop helps right-size the hardware requirement for your specific use cases before any purchase is made.

What Happens After the Workshop

Within one to two weeks of the workshop day, you receive your written report. This covers everything discussed — findings, use case prioritisation, technical recommendations, and suggested next steps. There is no additional cost between the report and a proof of concept. You only move to a commercial quotation once a proof of concept has been completed and demonstrated it meets your objectives.

From first phone call to workshop day is typically around two weeks — enough time for FSAS to assemble the right combination of specialists for your specific requirements, which may include AI consultants, data scientists, or sector specialists depending on your industry.
